Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for leading and directing a Production Team; driving the daily and weekly Master Production Schedule to ensure demands are met; managing compliance with Health and Safety, GMP and statutory/regulatory requirements.

 Responsibilities:

  • Drive all functions and ensure related documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Develop strategies and initiatives to increase capacities and efficiencies
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting and investigation of non-conformance associated operations activities
  • Ensure departmental compliance with change control/deviation/CAPA activities and procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with batch record protocol for day-to-day operations

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering related field
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven driver of excellence and execution, preferably within manufacturing environment
  • Relentless in achieving goals and expectations in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to establish and manage metrics, ensuring team ownership and focus to achieve
  • Lead by example – proven experience in supervising teams
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing or process development is preferred, lean manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices and procedures
